Thank You, Wasaga!
A note from our founder:
WasagaEats was launched in April 2020 with the goal of supporting local restaurants and small businesses during the initial lockdowns of the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the last 3 years our site has grown considerably to feature over 75 restaurants, and has helped thousands of Wasaga Beach residents and visitors discover the incredible local food scene. We have had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing dozens of small business owners and have been overwhelmed by the support of our local community.
It is with great pride (and a little sadness) that we have decided that the time has finally come to suspend the operation of this website. Although the effects of the pandemic will certainly be felt for many years to come, we are confident that the worst is now over and that the time and cost involved in maintaining WasagaEats.ca is no longer justified by the utility of the platform.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who helped make our dream possible. To all our users, vendors, sponsors, and supporters – we could not have done it without you! Although the site will no longer actively be maintained, we have decided to leave the directory online for the time being – both as a showcase of what we have achieved together and as a record of some of the amazing businesses that are sadly no longer with us.
We invite you to follow us on Instagram and Facebook as we plan to continue our efforts to support and promote local businesses using social media. For any vendors who wish to modify or remove their listings going forward please contact info@wasagaeats.ca for further assistance.
Thank you again – and we look forward to seeing everyone at the beach this summer!
